I saw the moon tonight and it looked white but I know the moon is really black. The moon is to be part of Earth that broke of Earth a long time ago.

    1. Can you believe that the moon was once part of the Earth? It is so interesting that the piece is now round?

I saw the moon and the color was a little white and a little orange and just a little black dots on the moon. I also observed that the clouds got the reflection of the bright moon witch made the clouds look gray in the dark black sky.

    1. When I went out to see the moon earlier, it hadn't turned orangish yet. I bet that was beautiful! I agree, Leo, that the reflection of the moon light on the clouds was gorgeous!

Today at 6:45pm, when I was in the car, I saw a full moon in the sky. The moon lit the sky and the clouds through which I could see the moon seemed to be lit as well. When it is a full moon, the moon is on the opposite side from the sun. Is today a lunar eclipse? Well it is not, because the moon's orbit is slightly tilted, and it is likely not closely aligned to the Earth and sun.
I just researched: the next solar eclipse on March 9 and the next penumbral lunar eclipse is on March 23.
