What did you observe?
*Because of the late moonrise, do your blog in the morning anytime before school*
Please make sure to fully develop your post by including the following:
The date
The time
The condition of the sky
The phase of the moon
Any constellations you spotted
Any other interesting noticings, wonderings or information you have to share
29 6:10 The condition of the sky was not cloudy. The phase of the moon was a waning gibbous. A waning gibbous is a moon that is a little less than a full moon. I could not spot any constellations.
Today, Monday at 7:30 AM, I saw the Waning Gibbous moon outside my window and above the trees in the Southwest direction. The sky was clear. Today is the last day of the Waning Gibbous moon. I could see ~60% of the moon.
Did you know that the moon is the only extraterrestrial body that humans have visited!
8:19 I could not see the moon from where I was looking but I bet it is somewhere out there. I hope that there is one day when I can see the moon from my look of the sky.
6:02 I know that I am posting before the moon comes out or the stars but I see the sky and it looks like the sky will be clear to see the moon or the stars.
On February 29th at 7:45pm I did not see the moon tonight but I saw a few stars in the sky but not so many. I could not find any constellations in the sky but I hope I can find constellations tomorrow night.
Tonight, February 29, 8:20pm, I saw the constellations Cassiopia, the Little Dipper and Orion. Unfortunately, this morning I could not see the moon when I woke up because the clouds had already closed in. Although, I know that the moon's phase is a first quarter moon.
Hi Mrs. Conklin, this morning I did not see the moon because of the weather. Today there was suppose to be a quarter moon also earlier in the morning you could see the moon but the sky got cloudy and it started to rain! And heres a fact, The moon is not a planet, but a satellite of the Earth. Only 59% of the moon's surface is visible from earth. The moon rotates at 10 miles per hour compared to the earth's rotation of 1000 miles per hour. When a month has two full moons, the second full moon is called a blue moon.
2-29-16 9:66pm Tonight I could see Orion from my front door and it was really cool. It was my first time seeing ma constellation while actually knowing what it is.
Today I saw lots of constellations. First, I spotted Orion, then I spotted Canis Major and then Auriga caught my eye and a whole bunch of other constellations, and I finally saw the Big dipper angled on the side(so it was pouring water out of it's cup). And at 8:30 I finally saw the Last Quarter, it was beutiful

ReplyDeleteI couldn't see the moon because the clouds made the moon blend in to the clouds.
