    1. Yes, it is such a bright day out, that it was too hard! Try to look tonight before you go to bed, as the moon rise is at 9:02. I bet you might even find some constellations, too!

  2. I can't wait to see the moon.

    1. Sophie, try to look again after the moonrise at 9:02. Also look for constellations. Post when you see something; I can't wait to read what you DO find in the sky.

  3. It is November 11. When I looked outside this morning I saw the moon. The moon was still a waning gibbous. The moon was still really bright. Did you know when the moon orbits the Earth it stays the same as it was in the night?

    1. Avani, did you see my reply on this same comment you posted on yesterday's post? I found that there is a reason we always see the same side of the moon!

    1. You are right; rain is expected to begin around 1:00 this morning. Maybe we will be able to find Orion again tomorrow night when the sky clears up!

  10. Today is November 11th at 9:29pm. I went outside twice but I could not see the moon. My prediction is that the moon phase is waning gibbous and that the moon will shine very bright!

    1. Your prediction is right!! The third quarter moon is expected on November 14th. Maybe we'll be able to see the moon by then!

  12. November 11th, 2014 at 9:45 PM. I stayed up to try and see the moon tonight, but it was too cloudy and there were too many trees in my way. The moon is a waning gibbous. I wonder if it is going to rain tomorrow?

    1. It is calling for rain tomorrow, Drew, so I don't think we will be able to see the moon. :( But, by November 14th, the moon phase will be third quarter; I can't wait to see what that looks like!!

  13. Yesterday was November 11th. Right now it is 7:25 on the 12th. It is a last quarter moon. I know it is a last quarter moon because the side of the moon that we can see the sun is not shining on that half so we can only see one half. Did you know the sun is shining on the whole moon so that is why we can see the full moon?!
