  1. Today is November 15. It is almost the new moon. I saw a few constellations with my eyes. Did you know that during a solar eclipse the moon can turn red?

    1. It is exciting that soon the phase of the moon will be "New", but we won't be able to see it then. Great post!

  2. November 15, 2014 at 8:41 AM. It is a bright day with clear skies. The phase of the moon is still a quarter moon. I was able to see it this morning from the same spot as yesterday.

    1. Drew, I just double-checked on my moon app; the moon is 40.6% illuminated (lit up), so that means it's in the "waning crescent" phase.

  3. It is November 15th at 10:08 a.m. The moon looks like it will be a waning crescent soon! Did you know that the dust on the moon never moves because there is no atmosphere on the moon?

  4. The sky was filled with constellations last night because the sky was so clear. I hope you found Orion and Sirius, the Dog Star!

  9. Yesterday was November 15th. It is 7:40. I didn't see the moon because there was an immense cloud coverage. I think the moon is going into a crescent.
