ATTENTION Safari Users!!

Hello Safari Users!
There is a known issue about the default privacy settings in Safari, conflicting with Google (we all know Apple and Google don't like each other). The recommendation is to download Google Chrome at https://www.google.com/chrome/

The recommendation is for all Heathcote related online school-work be done using Chrome.

If you prefer Safari, you will need to change your privacy settings. Go to the Safari Preferences Menu, click the Privacy icon and choose "NEVER" under the section that reads, "BLOCK COOKIES AND OTHER WEBSITE DATA."

    1. Sophie, as indicated above, moonrise isn't until 7:14, so you won't see the moon until a little after that...keep looking!

    1. I saw the waning gibbous moon, too! I think you meant that a half moon is called a quarter moon. That is because while we see half, the moon is a sphere which means only a quarter is actually showing!

  5. It is November 9,7:38 P.M,2014. I can not see the moon from my house tonight. It looks cloudy to me outside. I think that is why I can't see the moon.

  8. Today is November 9, 2014 at around 8:00. The moon today was yellow. I think it was because of the clouds and the amount of light. The phase of the moon is the waning gibbous. It still looked like it was a full moon.

  9. Today is November 9th at 8:17pm. The moon changed over the hours. Now, the moon is visible and the phase of the moon is waning gibbous.

  12. Today is November 9th, 2014 and it is 9:30 pm. The moon was shiny and bright tonight. The moon is still in the Waning Gibbous phase but it looked very large. I was able to see the constellations Orion and the Little Dipper since the sky was so clear this evening.

    4. The brightest star in the sky, other than then sun, is Sirius, which is in the constellation, Canis Major!

  14. It's November 8th at 9:20. I just missed the moon. But did you know that the moon and the earth spin at the same time so we only see one side of the moon?!

  15. it is November 11th,2014 at 7:20. I was able to see a constellation called "Pegasus" but I wasn't able to see the moon because it is too early. there is a website called stellarium and it shows what the sky is on any random night so you don't have to go outside!
