  3. Yesterday November 12,at 11:30 my mom and my old babysitter Clara finally saw the moon. They took pictures of it for me. They said, " the sky was clear with many stars shining and it was a Waning Gibbous moon. The moon looked large but it looked like it was beginning to change." On the phone it even looked amazing!

  4. It is November 13th at 7:32 a.m. I can't see the moon ;it is probably because the moon is about to set under my trees. Did you know that when the earth reflects the suns light to the dark side of the moon, that we will still see the dark side a little bit and that is called the "shinning earth."

    1. Remember to look for the moon in the morning and for constellations at night; until the 21st, when the moon rise happens just after school.

  10. Today is November 13th at 8:31am. The moonrise was past my bedtime so I am blogging today. Now the moon phase looks like a quarter moon but it is still a waning gibbous. The moon was really visible this morning!

  11. It is November 13th at 5:55 p.m. It is really cloudy outside. Did you know that when the earth is aligned with the sun and when the earth's shadow is cast, that causes a lunar eclipse.

The moon is a waning gibbous. It looks like it's tilted because there is a straight line going slanted down . I wonder if only half of the man on the moon is there.

    1. I think the whole sky is covered in one very big cloud; that might be why you can't see anything. Maybe tomorrow we will se the quarter moon.

    1. Zach, according to the Lunar and Planetary Institute's website, "it takes our Moon about 29.5 days to complete one cycle of phases (from new Moon to new Moon)". It is cloudy out, so the visibility is poor. Maybe you'll see the quarter moon tomorrow.
