ATTENTION Safari Users!!

Hello Safari Users!
There is a known issue about the default privacy settings in Safari, conflicting with Google (we all know Apple and Google don't like each other). The recommendation is to download Google Chrome at https://www.google.com/chrome/

The recommendation is for all Heathcote related online school-work be done using Chrome.

If you prefer Safari, you will need to change your privacy settings. Go to the Safari Preferences Menu, click the Privacy icon and choose "NEVER" under the section that reads, "BLOCK COOKIES AND OTHER WEBSITE DATA."

What did you observe?

Optimal Moon Viewing and Blogging Time:
Anytime before moonset, 11:37 pm 

Please make sure to fully develop your post by including the following:
  • The date
  • The time
  • The condition of the sky
  • The phase of the moon
  • Any constellations you spotted
  • Any other interesting noticings, wonderings or information you have to share.

  1. This evening, March 13, at 6:17pm, the sky's condition was cloudy. I did not see the moon tonight because of the cloudy weather we received today. Although I could not see the moon, I know that the phase of the moon was a waxing crescent. In astronomy, waxing means getting bigger.

  2. I could not see anything because it was cloudy. I looked at 9:30 pm. The Moon is a waxing crescent tonight behind the clouds and 30% illuminated. Did you know that Earth is 100 million years older than the Moon?

  3. 10:14 Yesterday I forgot to blog later but at night the moon looked like a little boat again but it was much brighter. In Florida I was abel to see many constellations I saw about 7 last night down in Florida. Tonight I forgot to look up for the moon before the plane left but down in scarsdale right now you will not be abel to see the moon.
