Today at 8 am I tried to see the moon, and even though the sky's was clear I could not see the moon. This is likely because the moon is only 3.5% visible and the moon was in the southeast direction (close to the sun) - I checked online. Today the phase of the moon is a waning crescent moon, and tomorrow the moons phase is a new moon.
ReplyDeleteTonight you could not see the moon because it was a new moon.A new moon is a moon that you can not see because of the sun reflecting light on the moon.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I couldn't see the waning cresent moon I looked and looked and looked! I saw Orion for the first time the squarish box and the belt also, Betelgeuse and Rigel I was in awe!!!
ReplyDeleteThis morning on the way to school I looked for the moon and I did not see it but tonight at 7:05 I saw Orion and serious the dog star and the north star.
ReplyDeleteTonight, March 7, at 8:08pm, the constellations I saw were: Cassiopia, Orion, the Little Dipper and Ursa Minor. Also, the sky was clear tonight. This morning, I did not see the moon because the waning crescent was so small of a sliver that I could not see it. Tomorrow, it will become a new moon where you cannot see the moon at all.
