I can see the moon it was so beautiful when it was out during the sunset. I looked with Om and we saw the craters on the moon it was amazing. I bet tonight it will be so beautiful we could of had telescope night tonight!
Today I saw the beautiful moon with Leo. The phase of the moon was a Waxing Gibbous. Leo will come to my house and then we will look for constellations. The date is March 18. I will find Orion first and then look for the other constellations.
On March 18 at 4:00 the moon looked like the clouds and it blended in with the clouds. I looked again at 7:20 it was bright but as bright as it would be later. I looked one more time and I saw the moon I was so bright. It was very pretty. I was so excited when I saw the moon but I couldn't see any stars from my house.
Tonight, March 18, at 8:38, the moon's phase was a waxing gibbous. Just like last night, the waxing gibbous moon showed incredibly bright and big as if it were a full moon. The constellations I saw were: Cassiopeia, Orion, Cepheus and the North star, which is in the little dipper that is the tail of the little bear, who's name is Ursa Minor.
On Friday at 9:45 pm we looked though my telescope at the clear night sky. I saw Cassiopeia, Orion, Canis Major, Ursa Major and Polaris. I also saw craters on the moon with a moon filter. It was hard to aim the telescope and take turns without losing focus. We different colored lenses. The best one was the red filter. It was amazing. The moon was a waxing gibbous and 82.5% illuminated according to timeanddate.com
